What's your potential?
Every living being is already attached to him a potential that will be actualized in his life.
The potential will appear in different ways, some are just waiting for the time, for example a caterpillar, they have the potential to become butterflies when the time has come, and some must be sharpened first, such as a small lion in him has attached the potential as the king of the jungle but that potential must be honed and trained by paying attention to adult lions in order to skillfully use his abilities.
Human potential is like a caterpillar that has the potential to become a butterfly or become a predatory meal. When a caterpillar is eaten by a predator, its potential to become a butterfly will die along with the death of the container of that potential.
Just like humans, we as thinking beings must continue to explore the hidden potential within us. We are given two choices, first we will try to explore that potential in order to know and utilize it in our lives or we will let it continue to be ingrained and not benefit us.
A person will usually be very nervous to speak in front of a crowd even standing even if the knee feels like a broken. But because he continues to be habituated and trained so that he is ready to take his role to speak in front of people.
When a singer sings his songs we are amazed by his beautiful voice, but do we know how much he struggles to achieve that?
Previously it was just a potential but after continuing to try he was finally able to realize the potential to amaze his audience. In this case the audience is actually amazed by his inability to actualize the potential that exists in himself.
A curious person will look for what the potential is in him, using various ways, practicing, reading, listening, and paying attention to what is in his environment and how they develop.

"Curious" is essential for potential development
At the announcement of the best student at the school one of my friends became the best student in the school. Even though his days are the same as mine the same study time, the same rest time but why he could be the best I am not. What exactly makes him superior to me?

For example, there is sonar owned by a ship by using waves to know the objects that are around the ship so as to avoid it.
It is inspired by dolphins and whales that have a natural instinct to know the objects around them through the reflection of the waves they emit.
Then because of human curiosity with this ability they tried to make technology through the principle of technology to create waves like dolphins do until the navigation sonar is found used by ships and submarines to avoid obstacles around the ship.
Curiosity motivates people to continue exploring undisclosed knowledge.
I've always had a curiosity in my life, I wonder why he prefers other men? Ah maybe because he's more handsome, richer, or better looking (Illustration).
Positive or negative self-potential ?
Once a hunter found a lion cub, out of pity he brought the lion cub to his house. Arriving home he bathed and fed the little lion. Long story short the little lion transformed into a ferocious lion so that one day try to prey on its master. Eventually the lion was handed over to the animal rehabilitation party.
The short story above shows the potential of the lion to prey on its master. That potential remains given that lions are carnivorous creatures that have an instinct to kill. The problem is not that, but is the potential referred to as positive or negative potential?
Similarly, when a child is raised by both parents, in the child there has been inherent potential in him. The potential can be both positive and negative.
It depends on how both parents raise the child. In addition, the environment is also the current that will take him, whether the current will take him in the right direction or drag him in the wrong direction.
Some people grow up in a pesantren so he has the potential to be a religiously obedient person, a person who was born and grew up in a bad environment, then he has the potential to behave badly.
This is often said by most people but it is not. Because God created man under the same circumstances. Nothing is created to be a hero or a villain like we designed a movie.
Because the positive and negative measures of every living being are different, there are people who think stealing is a bad thing, but there are some groups who say stealing is a very brave thing and considered as brave. For example, Kyrgyztan has a tradition of abandoning his single life by kidnapping the woman he loves who is his bride-to-be. It was considered a pride for them.
So, the positive or negative potential that has is not the human being who determines it.
We as thinking beings must continue to explore the hidden potential within us. It is like gold if it is not excavated, it will still be buried and can not benefit people.
